As a wedding planner, I love when the fall season starts to roll in. The beginning of beautiful changing colors and crisp autumn air arrived just in time on 9.16.22. Elegant and elaborate vibes meet modern day barn: A closer look into the perfect fall wedding of Vanessa + Brett.

Vanessa + Brett got married on a cool fall day in September of 2022 at The Black River Barn in South Haven Michigan. The weather was perfect and there was so much excitement in the air! It was clear that these two were so in love and READY to tie the knot. Their ceremony was outdoors and included bold, boho florals and a gorgeous, scenic view for their guests. The reception space housed elegant florals, elaborate vines overtop the bar, and small details that brought it all together.

Vanessa’s wedding dress was so simple but so perfect for this day! It was a mermaid style dress covered in lace and was just so flattering on her. She kept her makeup and hair very simple and let her natural beauty shine!

​Their color palette consisted of burnt oranges, reds and neutrals to emulate the boho theme of the wedding. Being a fall wedding, the colors blended seamlessly with the scenic outdoors. 

Vanessa + Brett rented our greenery wall to use as a backdrop for their guests at the photobooth and it was a hit! I loved seeing people enjoy taking photos in front of it all night. They turned out so cute! Not to mention the neon sign that said “The Dixon’s” to top it all off.
